I've been very busy getting things ready for the upcoming events. We are very excited and hope to see you all there! On top of the draw for a free e-book (completely free and one draw per customer), we will be giving away our free "Save My Pet" wallet cards. We will have brochures about the business there, our books and some merchandise. Merchandise is limited as we are unsure of how much we need to order for these events. Vickianne Caswell (me) and her daughter Erika-Elizabeth, will be signing "The Freckle Monster" which is book # 6 in the Freckles the Bunny Series titles.
We have confirmation of our attendance at the Bruno Cherry Sunday and Humboldt Streetfest.
In the meantime, keep watching our website as we slowly stock up on newly published books.
Freckles' books have finally arrived! They have gone through the new publishing system (premium publishing). If you haven't seen our website lately, be sure to stop by. We've changed our publishing packages. Our old ones are the Low-Cost Publishing. There are now 3 instead of 6. We've added on a new publishing service. It is called Premium Publishing. The old pages are no more. We've re-vamped them to better explain to you how they work and they look much better.
In The Freckle Monster: Freckles the Bunny Series, Book #6, Freckles is a special little bunny. She is smart, caring and very creative. Her latest project was to create a ‘Stop Bullying’ poster for school. All of the students were participating and the principal would choose the best poster to be highlighted on the local news. Freckles was sure that her poster would win. She was very proud of her poster. But her poster didn’t win. Her best friend, Stew, had her poster chosen. As the news reporter interviewed Stew about her poster, Freckles fumed about not winning the contest. Her jealousy turned to revenge and soon Freckles was no longer the caring bunny that everyone loved; she was the mean bully bunny that made everyone mad at each other. Can Freckles be stopped?
As a child, author Vickianne Caswell had been bullied. Her daughter and co-author, Erika-Elizabeth Caswell, had also been bullied. Many of Freckles' experiences were based on events that happened in their lives. It’s sad to think that jealousy can fester to the point where everyone is mad and vengeful at each other. Using colorful illustrations, realistic scenarios and dialogue, and a once beloved family member (Freckles the bunny) the authors have created a powerful story about the very serious issue of bullying. Well done!
