Where: 100-1150 8th Avenue, Regina When: Monday, March 6, 2017, 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. Cost: FREE for members, $25 for non-members A simple arithmetic formula of fiction writing: plot plus character equals story. Obviously, plot is paramount – nuthin’ happens, no story. But the importance of character cannot be minimized. You can't really separate plot and character. Plot flows out of character and vice versa. The characters stimulate the plot; and the plot happens to them. Boring characters produce boring stories. Characters not fully realized produce stories not fully satisfying. This workshop by short story writer and novelist Dave Margoshes will focus, not only on the creation of characters, but also on their development throughout the story. Beginners and emerging writers could benefit from this three-hour workshop, which will involve a writing exercise and discussion. Please register in advance for this workshop as space is limited. skwriter.com Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know that we finally got some help from customer service and our phone should be back on for Monday. My husband managed to get things worked out and get us a new phone in the process. We apologize for the inconvenience!
I apologize for the inconvenience. We went to switch phone plans and they didn't do it right. We are trying to fix it as it now needs unlocking. It may be down through the weekend as we may have to outright replace the phone, which can only be done in the city. We've been having troubles getting an unlock code and have now emailed the company. We are still available by email and again, apologize for the inconvenience.
We will be shut down all day Saturday, January 14, 2017 for a funeral. We will resume business once again on the following Monday. Thank you for your understanding.
Be sure to check out the updates to our free e-book. Here are some of the additions and changes:
1. Listed more locations for the 4 Paws Games and Publishing's Premium Publishing Package & Low-Fee Package. 2. Added Pros and Cons to both packages as well as to publishing through us. Why? Because we want to be honest and I wasn't able to get it in last time like I wanted (ran out of time). 3. Press Releases. A sample and a few websites with information on them. 4. Added a few more links for the headings and adjusted the name of the "author" so that hopefully it will give the business credit now and not all me. The book has been updated at Smashwords and will hopefully be updated on Barnes & Noble, Kobo, etc. soon. https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/655663 Congratulations Nancy Beaudet on winning the 2016 Best Sales Award with "Ache for You (Trapped in Three Hill, Book # 1)! We look forward to your next book in the series as well as seeing who wins at the end of this year!
