Manor is an estate, house, etc. that is usually large.

Local writers and settings included in anthology
Never double space between hyphens because they are meant to "glue" words together.
Ex. 300-400 lizards, three-year-old, 8:00-8:40.
"Or" or "our" in words?
Ex. favorite/favourite, rumor/rumour, flavor/flavour, color/colour. "Or" is often used by the Americans.
British English, New Zealand English, Australian English and Canadian English, all use the latter.
A comma before "and" isn't necessary but is often used when there is an independent clause after it.
